Dr. Naushad Faiz
Dr Naushad Faiz is an esteemed Economist in Bangladesh with nearly 40 years experience working in the field of development as a researcher and consultant. His strengths lie in conducting studies, evaluations and surveys in a wide variety of areas including health and population, disability inclusion, eye care, garment industry, and child rights. Dr Faiz has prepared multi-year and strategic plans and designed projects for major development partners such as GIZ, DFID, The World Bank, several government agencies (e.g. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare), and national and international NGOs.
His current projects include preparation of a Five-Year Strategic Plan for Kumudini Hospital (2021-2025) as well as a Mid-Term Learning Review of the Project “Increasing Access to Inclusive Quality Education and Lifelong Learning for Children and Young Adults with deaf blindness in Bangladesh” for The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD).
Dr Faiz completed his graduation and his doctorate in Economics from Moscow University in the then Soviet Union in 1982. He is a fluent Russian speaker as well as English and Bangla.
